To carve a pumpkin you could do it the previous week so that it last until few days after Halloween. Choose a smooth pumpkin, and if you are not carving but drawing on  it you may need to paint it to have a smooth surface.

Halloween was originally a Pagan holy day called “All Hallows Eve.” It was one of four holy days – and the most powerful – throughout the year when spirits could walk the earth and communicate with the living.

So it is best to apply a coat and then start drawing. Keep the drawing simple. Do not worry if it is not perfect. remember this is a fun time. We do not need all the stress.

If you are carving the pumpkin remember to leave about 1/2″ inside so the pumpkin stays rigid. You also need to cut the top
